Neurotoxins
The purified neurotoxin originated in ophthalmology and then made a surprising leap into our sector: aesthetic medicine.
EIt is a facial treatment whose objective is the elimination of wrinkles and expression signs of the upper third of the face. The areas that we commonly treat at ICMCE in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria are: forehead, between the eyebrows and crow's feet.
How does it work? When injected into a muscle, it causes a controlled decrease in its contraction. Thus, the skin that covers that treated muscle does not wrinkle.
Many things have been said about treatments with neurotoxins, since it is one of the most popular beauty treatments in the world.
From our Clinic and through our real experience with patients, we can say that we consider neurotoxins as a complement to classic facial treatments, whose results are spectacular (as long as it is applied -as is our case- by the hand of an expert and expert medical team).
- Purified neurotoxin.
– Fine needles to infiltrate.
– Front (front area).
– Frown (glabellar area), area known colloquially as the "frown".
– Around the eyes (periorbital area), an area colloquially known as “crow's feet”.
– It can also be used to correct brow height asymmetries, in cases of asymmetry due to muscular hypertonia (when unilateral palpebral ptosis has been ruled out).
The neurotoxin infiltration session at ICMCE Las Palmas lasts approximately 15 minutes, depending on the number of areas to be treated.
- The effect takes a day or two to appear.
– The results are maintained for 4 to 6 months, at the end of which, the initial state is recovered.
A booster session may be necessary after 10 days.
