Summer has arrived! but, is your skin prepared for the aggression of ultraviolet rays, chlorine,... etc? Well let's get to it! Follow these tips from Dr Daniel Rodríguez de los Ríos and you will see your prettier and healthier skin.
Preparing the skin on the outside
1. EXFOLIATION:
The accumulation of dead cells in the epidermis makes it lose its luminosity, so a gentle exfoliation can help to lose this horny shell. for them the use of the well-known scrubs, or superficial peelings in the cabin with our specialist Rosi Sanchez, will help us achieve it and the skin will recover luminosity.
2. HYDRATION:
Deep hydration is essential to have bright and healthy skin.
FACE:
The thinnest skin areas such as the periocular area and the neckline are very fragile, so moisturizing creams with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B3 are highly recommended.
In case of punished skins, Dr. Daniel Rodríguez de los Ríos recommends treatments of microneedles (DERMAPEN) with hyaluronic acid and nutrient vitamins that go deep into the dermis.
BODY:
For body skin, exfoliation with a soft sponge in the shower and moisturizing creams with UREA are highly recommended.
3. SUN PROTECTION:
I recommend that you do not abuse the sun in the midday hours and start sunbathing little by little with intervals.
Remember that sun creams must be applied and repeated every 2 hours. In general, a protection of 50 for children and as for the face, neckline and shoulders of adults is highly recommended. Don't use less than factor 15, generally.
Prepares the skin from within
1. NUTRITION TO PROMOTE THE TAN:
Everyone is already familiar with the β-carotene found in red or orange foods, such as carrots, tomatoes, berries and oranges. But also α-carotene vegetables such as broccoli or kiwi. All of them facilitate the production of melanin (which defends us from harmful ultraviolet rays) and contribute to the elimination of free radicals that age us. Therefore the need to consume them in our diet to be able to neutralize them.
2. PREPARATION AND PROTECTION OF THE SKIN:
Fundamental intake of Omega 3 fatty acids. For this, the consumption of oily fish that in this summer season is very common in our fishmongers and beach bars, such as sardines, mackerel, anchovies, longorones and our appreciated tuna from the islands. But let's not forget our coastal molluscs such as limpets or burgaos, which are very rich in minerals such as iron, zinc, selenium, iodine and group B and A vitamins, which are excellent antioxidants.
In general, we must provide quality vitamins, minerals and proteins in our diet with seasonal products from our geographical area that are of higher quality due to their freshness.
Antioxidant menu to prepare and protect the skin during the summer
Dr Daniel Rodríguez de los Rios proposes his Canarian antioxidant menu to prepare and protect the skin this summer.
