Frequently Asked Questions
The most used techniques are: inverted T or anchor scar; periareolar and vertical scar and periareolar scar (in very mild cases).
The scars are permanent, although their appearance will improve over time with an adequate hydration treatment, using rosehip oil and adhesive silicone sheets, which have a pressotherapeutic effect.
The complications of the wounds are inherent to the way the patient heals, to the habit of smoking or the lack of care in their care; being able to produce unsightly hypertrophic or widened scars. It may be the case of the formation of a keloid scar, that is to say with thickness, redness and itching. For all these reasons, the use of silicone dressings to prevent these complications is justified.
In some cases of very large breasts, the displacement of the nipple-areola complex tissues to its new location may be affected by a lack of blood nutrition. In this way, the patient may require a future reconstruction of the nipple-areola, if she were to partially or totally lose said area.
